PRODUCER'S TELL DANNY GLOVER HIS NEW FILM ISN'T WHITE ENOUGH

Most of you have probably heard that Danny Glover is attempting to bring a new epic film to the theaters on the subject of Haitian independence hero Francois Dominique Toussaint-Louverture. What you may not know is how mind blowingly difficult it has been for Danny to raise the money to get this film off the ground (at this moment, I know exactly how he feels).
Now, the reasoning (or not) behind the complications that Mr. Glover has been experiencing comes out. According to Danny: "Producers said 'It's a nice project, a great project... where are the white heroes?'"
I can't help but chuckle at the audacity of some Hollywood producers--they are honestly telling the star of one of the biggest franchises this town has ever seen with "Lethal Weapon 1-2-3-4" that he needs to find a white hero to be in the story of Toussaint-Louverture, a former slave. Can we say oxymoron.
Thankfully, Danny has been able to raise 18 of the 30 million dollars he needs and is scheduled to begin filming in Venezuela early next year. The film will star Don Cheadle, Mos Def, Wesley Snipes and Angela Bassett. Impatiently waiting for this one!
