Artist that are scheduled to perform are Wyclef Jean, Donna Summers, Toby Keith, Luis Fonsi, and Amadou and Mariam. I'm sure this is gonna be a star studded event. Can't wait to see it.

ELBA EXECUTIVE PRODUCING NBC DRAMA

I guess it's true what they say in the tv world, when your ratings start to slip, get some black shows to help boost them back up. Judging by the fact that Fox and The CW built their networks using black sitcoms as the anchor, it should really be no surprise that NBC seems to be looking to finally add some color to their network.

The latest addition to this equation is Idris Elba who is said to be executive producing a new drama for the network. The new show will feature a lawyer who goes to the limits to save his clients from a corrupt system. This show comes on the heels of news of NBC's interest in scribe Kenya Barris' sitcom "Ordinary."

Let's hope they take these shows seriously and are not ready to drop them the minute their ratings get a boost.

FAIZON LOVE TO JOIN IRON MAN FRANCHISE?

Actor/Comedian Faizon Love recently did an interview with Moviehole where he talked about Jon Favreau and Peter Billingsley's interest with trying to get him to agree with being in one of their "Iron Man" movies for a while now. However, Love keeps dancing around the idea of getting down with Tony Stark.

‘’They already tried to put me in Iron Man but I couldn't. I think I would make it suck’’, says the ceaselessly sincere actor.

‘’I don't know that genre. These guys do. I didn't know it was a real comic book. [Jon] thinks I'd make a good villain. Maybe I should just get it out of my way and just do it?”

PRINCESS TIANA WELCOMED AT DISNEY'S MAGIC KINGDOM

This past Monday, Disney welcomed Princess Tiana from the upcoming film "The Princess and the Frog" to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando with much fanfare. Boyz II Men, Anika Noni Rose, and even Donald Duck were there to welcome the Princess Tiana character who will be greeting guests at the park until January.

Loving the pics of Disney's first black princess but still can't seem to figure out why in the world Disney couldn't figure out how to make the prince black as well. I mean wouldn't it like be totally cool if black kids as a whole can have like one Disney movie that represents them wholly. I mean who does it really benefit to make the prince Middle Eastern?

MICHELLE OBAMA IN GLAMOUR MAGAZINE

Be sure to check out our First Lady, Michelle Obama, on the cover of December's Glamour Magazine featuring Women of the Year. Below are a few excerpts from her interview as well as a picture of Mrs. Obama and her White House staff.

Here are six lessons that Mrs. Obama discussed:

Mentoring matters, especially for young women:I think that mentoring is such a critical part of the role I can play in this position. I see how little bits of exposure and big bits of exposure really change my girls significantly, and I want that for more girls around the country and the world.

The real role models aren’t movie stars--they’re the people you know:They were the people in my life. My mom, for sure. My dad. The teachers. For me, role-modeling was immediate, it was touchable...Children connect with who is in their lives, present and accounted for...That’s why we’re trying to encourage moms, teachers, fathers, to be that presence in their children’s lives, in their communities, because it really makes a difference.”

Don’t wait to be “discovered” by a mentor:I was blessed throughout my entire career. I had people rooting for me. It started with my parents, but it extended to almost every teacher that I had. When I was a young lawyer, there were other women and men in the firm who took me under their wing. Look for those mentors, because sometimes mentors don’t find you--sometimes you seek them out. Oftentimes, they’re flattered and glad to lend a hand.”

Don’t put yourself last in line: In answer to a reader question about how she keeps her sanity, the First Lady told Katie, “I have always tried to put my kids first, and then...put myself a really close second, as opposed to fifth or seventh. One thing that I’ve learned from male role models is that they don’t hesitate to invest in themselves.”

When it comes to looks and style, set your own standards:People are always going to have opinions, and people have a right to their opinions, particularly when you’re the First Lady; you’re representing the nation. So I can’t be surprised that people are interested. But I’ve tried to be at peace with the choices that I make first, and then be open to everyone else’s reflection.”

With men, don’t be swayed by “cute”:Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s, Who are you as a person? Don’t look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul...When you’re dating a man, you should always feel good...You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole.”

NBC DEVELOPS KENYA BARRIS COMEDY "ORDINARY"

Writer/Producer Kenya Barris ("Girlfriends", "America's Next Top Model") is developing a tv show for NBC entitled "Ordinary." The show is described as "Mad About You" meets "The Cosby Show," and is part of NBC's laughable effort to develop an African-American comedy series.
The show is said to be inspired by Barris' real-life experiences - he's married to an anesthesiologist in real life. "Ordinary" revolves around Kevin and Kelsey Whitmore, a married couple in their late 20's who are fast-tracked professionals with four kids.

After spending most of his time on the road as a Rolling Stone music reporter, Kevin is promoted to columnist and works from home, a change that requires adjustment for everyone in the family.

Barris, is repped by WME and Principato Young, and is executive producing with Scott Stuber.
