PARIS BARCLAY GETS PROMOTED

The director, producer, and longtime television veteran Paris Barclay has recently been promoted to executive producer on HBO's "In Treatment." According to Variety, "Barclay will helm at least 10 episodes of the psychotherapy drama. He previously served as a co-executive producer and directed 12 of the 43 half-hour episodes in the shows first season."

In Treatment,” is based on an Israeli series and did not pull in big numbers for HBO. However it did get three Emmy nominations which is probably why it's gonna make it for another season. Barclay’s other recent series helming credits include Showtime’s “Weeds,” USA’s “Monk” (I love that show) and CBS’ “CSI” and “Cold Case.”

Mr. Barclay has previously won two Emmy Awards, a Directors Guild award, 2 NAACP Image Awards, and a Peabody Award. However, most of you probably remember him from being the creator and executive producer of the well done, predominantly black show "City of Angels" that was sadly cancelled after only two seasons.
