THE WOMEN
(STARRING JADA PINKETT-SMITH)

Well, I must say that I'm one of the few women who didn't rush out in a frenzy to see "The Sex and the City Movie." Just really didn't have the desire to see it and figured I could wait til it comes out on DVD. Since I didn't go, it appears that I missed the trailer for this little gem below. Heard about it a while back, "the movie Jada plays a lesbian in" but never imagined it would look soo sooo...

DRY!!

This is one film that could definitely use some diversity because right now it's looking very Stepford Wives(ish) and that was one movie I caught some major zzzz's on. Don't know if you know this but Picturehouse and Warner Independent are no more so this movie is pretty much a Warner Bros. flick by default. Which isn't a good thing since WB exec. Jeff Robinov infamously said "We are no longer doing movies with women in the lead." Although he later said that he was just joking, the slew of upcoming non-female films says it all.
CHECK OUT THE TRAILER BELOW...

Movie stars Jada Pinkett-Smith, Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Eva Mendes, and Annette Bening.

SYNOPSIS

The story centers on a group of gossipy, high-society women who spend their days at the beauty salon and haunting fashion shows. The sweet, happily-wedded Mary Haines finds her marriage in trouble when shop girl Crystal Allen gets her hooks into Mary's man. Naturally, this situation becomes the hot talk amongst Mary's catty friends, especially the scandalmonger Sylvia Fowler, who has little room to talk - she finds herself on a train to Reno and headed for divorce right after Mary.
