Last night,
CNN announced that comedian
D.L. Hughley will be getting his own comedy show to tell the funny side of what's going on in the news. The show, "
D.L. Hughley Breaks the News," is a weekend series that will show
Hughley perform standup comedy, interview newsmakers and reporters, and take part in skits.
Jonathan Klein,
CNN President, says that the show will be more like "
The Tonight Show" rather than "
The Daily Show." The series is to premiere on
Oct. 25 and to be broadcast before a studio audience at
10 p.m.
