Veteran actor James Earl Jones is set to be honored by the Screen Actors Guild with the Life Achievement Award, according to Variety. Jones has long been a staple of the stage and screen, making his Broadway bow in 1957 in "The Egghead" as an understudy. In 1969, the thesp won his first Tony for his role as Jack Johnson in "The Boxer." In 1970, he nabbed Oscar and Golden Globe noms for the screen adaptation of the Rialto production.
The kudo will be presented during the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 25, which will be simulcast on TNT and TBS.
