It appears that Paramount Studios has decided to postpone the release date for the upcoming Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr. film "The Soloist." According to Reuters, Paramount is cutting corners by cutting costs so instead of releasing the film on December 12, like the studio had originally planned, they are pushing it back to a March 31 release date. This will ultimately push the film out of the forecast for the '09 Oscars.
