Triple talented and Oscar winning thespian, Forrest Whitaker, is set to direct and star in a biopic "What a Wonderful World" based upon the life of musical genius Louis Armstrong. My screenwriting hero, Ron Bass, will write the script and is exec producing the film with Oscar Cohen, executive of the Armstrong estate, according to Variety.
The film will begin early in Armstrong's career in New Orleans, before the fame and fortune, and will take us on a journey into his fascinating career as a trumpet legend - a feat that could only be matched by his trademark voice.
"What a Wonderful World" will begin shooting in the summer in Louisiana.
