Apparently nepotism is alive and very well in Hollywood these days as Jaden Smith, son of Will and Jada, has been cast in the remake of "The Karate Kid." The film is being produced by Will's company Overbrook Entertainment and is scheduled to shoot next year in Beijing, as well as other cities.
According to Variety, while the new film will be set in that exotic locale, it will borrow elements of the original plot, wherein a bullied youth learns to stand up for himself with the help of an eccentric mentor.
