After a 20 year absence, Spike Lee is gonna be returning to Sundance with his film version of "Passing Strange," the stage musical by Mark "Stew" Stewart and Heidi Rodewald. Stew received a Tony award for best book of a musical before the show ended on July 20th.
The last time Spike made an appearance at Sundance was with his inaugural film "She's Gotta Have It," so this is long overdue.
