Lee Daniels is most certainly having a great couple of weeks. It was announced yesterday that his standout film "Push," that got rave reviews at Sundance, has been picked up by Lionsgate. In other news, Daniels has recently signed on with big time agent Charles King of the William Morris Agency.
According to THR, fellow King client Tyler Perry will present "Push" via his new 34th Street Films banner; Oprah Winfrey will also present the title via her Harpo shingle. Both parties will support the release, according to Lionsgate.
Push is Daniels' second forray in directing, he's been mostly known for producing 2001 Oscar winner "Monster's Ball," which Lionsgate also released. There has not been a release date set as of yet.
