Mary J. Blige has signed on to star alongside Taraji P. Henson in "I Can Do Bad All by Myself," Tyler Perry's upcoming film for Lionsgate.
The film is based on his play of the same name and is set for a nationwide release on Sept. 11th of this year. Blige will portray a nightclub manager and singer who is a good friend to Henson's character. Perry's signature character Madea will be featured in the film.
Filming is set to take place at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
