DALLAS SHOWS T.O. NO SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY

In an interesting turn of events in the sports world, the Dallas Cowboys have released Terrell Owens late Wednesday, according to several reports.

Ever since Tony Romo screwed up the final game of the season with a 44-6 loss (similar to another sucky Carolina quarterback who shall remain nameless) things have remained up in the air regarding the status of the controversial wide receiver.

Owner Jerry Jones had said in recent weeks that he had not decided whether to keep or release Owens but there were rumors that his son was pushing for him to cut T.O.

Owens signed a three-year, $25 million contract with Dallas in March 2006. He signed a new four-year, $34 million deal that included a $12 million signing bonus, in June 2008.

Owens finished the 2008 season 69 receptions for 1,058 yards and 10 touchdowns. I'm certain that some lucky team with a quarterback that won't choke when his team gets to the playoffs is sure to scoop up Owens.
