"TOP MODEL" SHORTY HOPEFULS GET INTO MELEE

In further proof that short people are always somewhere causing a ruckus (joking), three people were arrested and six were injured this past weekend at a casting call for the uberly popular CW reality show "America's Next Top Model" in New York.

Gobs and I mean gobs of hopefuls showed up for the chance to saunter in front of Ms. Tyra Banks and crew at the Park Central Hotel in Manhattan. This was the first time that contestants shorter than 5ft 7 were allowed to try out. Police were forced to shut the casting call down as the fighting and the line got out of hand and ended up being a stampede.

Two women and one man were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and inciting to riot, according to The New York Times. For some reason I can't get The Village People's "Short People" song out of my head.
