This week's Black in the Dayz movie took some time to grow on me after I initially saw it. But it soon became a part of my evergrowing DVD collection. "Brown Sugar" was a film that gave just enough of a nod to Hip-Hop to make you appreciate what it was trying to say. I really liked the way the film used this form of music as a metaphor for Dre' and Sidney's relationship.
Plus the movie had a slammin soundtrack. Don't you just miss the days when films had soundtracks that you just had to go out and buy? Oh how I long for the good ole days.
