NATALIE RETURNS HOME AFTER KIDNEY TRANSPLANT

Natalie Cole has returned home from the hospital just five days after receiving a kidney transplant.

The 59-year-old went home on Sunday, a rep for the singer confirmed to Access Hollywood.

Cole reportedly planned on attending a memorial service for her sister Carol “Cookie” Cole on Monday, who died after battling lung cancer the same day the Grammy winner underwent her kidney transplant, according to People.

“She is doing well, but she’ll need a couple more months to fully recover,” her rep said.

As previously reported, Cole, who has hepatitis C and was undergoing kidney dialysis three times a week, was at her sister’s bedside when she got the news that a kidney was available.
Here's to hoping that Miss Cole has a speedy recovery.
