JAY Z 9-11 BENEFIT CONCERT TICKETS ON SALE TODAY

Jay-Z is set to spend the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a staged concert to raise money for the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund, the largest charity serving the survivors of first responders killed in the line of duty.

Jay says the show which will go down at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 11, is something of a full-circle move for him.

"I was in Los Angeles making a video the night before 9/11," he said, "and a friend of mine called the next morning and told me to put the TV on."

Jay's first "Blueprint" album was released on September 11 and so eight years later, he's planning to release "The Blueprint 3" on the same day. The benefit show has been dubbed Answer the Call and I'm most certain he's gonna have plenty of guest appearances.

The show will air live on Fuse channel. Mike Bair, the President of MSG Media says that they are planning a great deal of behind-the-scenes- footage as well as interviews with Jay to lead up to the concert.

Tickets go on sale today and are priced at $50.
