SOUL LEGEND ISAAC HAYES DIES

I'm very sad to report that we have yet another great loss to the black community today with the death of "Sir" Isaac Hayes. Mr. Hayes, was best known for his contributions to music and especially for the "Theme From Shaft." He won an Oscar and multiple Grammy's and will be forever remembered for what he contributed to the sound of R&B music. According to MSN,

"The Shelby County Sheriff's Office says a
family member found Hayes unresponsive near a treadmill on Sunday. He was
pronounced dead about an hour later at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. The
cause of death was not immediately known."

Hayes was 65. He had recently wrapped on the upcoming movie "Soul Men" with the late Bernie Mac and Samuel Jackson.
