"American Idol" is about to get a big dose of ego aka star power this week when Kanye West makes an appearance this coming Wednesday during the elimination show.
West, making his first appearance on the top-rated Fox series, will perform his hit song "Heartless" from his latest album "808s & Heartbreak."
West is scheduled to share the stage with former idol Kelly Clarkson.
