"BECOMING BARACK OBAMA" TRAILER
Above is the trailer for the documentary "Becoming Barack Obama." This exciting new documentary features footage from three of the earliest known recorded interviews with Obama: a 1986 WMAQ-Chicago news story about Obama's earliest success as a community activist; a 1991 clip from a news interview while he was a student at Harvard Law School; and a 15-minute lost interview done in 1993 by an aspiring African-American documentary producer in Chicago, which never aired.
In the third interview Obama was just 32-years-old, two years out of law school, a professor teaching constitutional law at University of Chicago, a fervent community organizer and a newlywed who had not yet contemplated running for public office. I might think about it, but that time is certainly in the future, says Obama in an excerpt from the found interview.
Becoming Barack also features rare personal photos; interviews with family and a range of Chicago-area leaders in business and in grassroots community organizing who knew Obama intimately during his formulative years, sharing personal memories and anecdotes; and historic photos and video footage of Obama's Chicago in the mid 80's through early 90's.
G.I. JOE PREMIERE PICS
So Paramount decided at the eleventh hour to host a screening of "G.I. Joe" yesterday. Although they didn't do a screening for critics folks have managed to check it out and the reviews are so so. I'm still going to check it out this weekend though. Gotta support Marlon. Check out flicks from the premiere below.

RIHANNA, KANYE AND JAY-Z TO APPEAR ON LENO

Superstars, Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z will be performing on the premiere of Jay Leno's comedy and chat show in September, according to Reuters.
NBC said on Thursday that the trio would perform "Run This Town" from Jay-Z's new album, "The Blueprint 3," when "The Jay Leno Show" makes its debut on September 14 at 10pm.
It will be one of the first, major public performances for Rihanna, 21, since she was assaulted by Chris Brown who it is rumoured that she's actually back to dating again...(hmmm).
Leno told reporters this week that his show would have more comedy and less chat.
BLACK IN THE DAYZ...
This weeks Black in the Dayz movie is one blaxploitation movie that I have yet to see. "Abby" was said to have been a black version of "The Exorcist" but judging from it's description, I beg to differ. I'll have to check it out and come back and report on it sometime. Below is the synopsis.
SYNOPSIS...
Abby tells the story of a young, church-going housewife who is possessed by an erotically charged Nigerian sex demon, accidentally set free of its African confines by her archaeologist father-in-law. Possessed by the renegade spirit, Abby goes on a hell bent spree of destruction and wanton sexual behavior, all to the shock of her minister husband. When Abby's father-in-law returns from Africa to exorcise the demon inside her, all hell breaks loose as a local discotheque is turned into the ultimate battleground of good versus evil as Abby's family fights to save her soul from eternal damnation!
HILL HARPER AUTHORS NEW BOOK ON RELATIONSHIPS
KIMORA AND DJIMON SHOW OFF BABY KENZO
Kimora and Djimon recently showed off their new baby Kenzo to OK Magazine. Kenzo means third and wise in Japanese (Kimora's half Japanese and half black). He is such a cutie patootie! Although I haven't really heard much about their nuptials, OK Magazine referred to Djimon as Kimora's husband in the article so I'm guessing that they managed to quietly get married. I kinda feel sorry for baby Kenzo because his big sisters are probably gonna be super protective of him! Check out more flicks below.
