The year was '98, just a few weeks shy of my sophomore year of college when this little whacky romantic comedy, "Hav Plenty," hit the theaters. I remember going to the movies to see this film - you know I've always supported black films - and I hated it! I thought this was the wackest movie ever. Then, it came out on video and somehow I was able to see it again and this time - I fell in love with it.
I don't think my film palette was up to par with such quirky and non stereotypical black characters the first time around, but soon I was hooked on the movie. This was probably the last time that a movie had such a slammin soundtrack to go with it. I mean after all Babyface was behind the flick. If you've never checked it out it's a must see.
